Aims and thematic scope of the journal

„Safety & Fire Technology“ is a peer-reviewed scientific journal. SFT publishes the following types of articles: original scientific articles, preliminary reports, review articles and case studies. Its aim constitutes in supporting the knowledge transfer in Poland and abroad, promoting research results and innovative projects as well as providing education on safety.

Journal’s thematic scope:

  • fire dynamics and modeling,
  • fire protection systems and methods, fire prevention and mitigation,
  • fire investigation and risk analysis,
  • firefighting tactics, safety and technology,
  • fire safety legislation and education,
  • safety and civil protection,
  • hazards and environmental protection,
  • materials in environmental protection and fire hazards,
  • modern technologies in fire and environmental protection.
Open Access Policy

“Safety & Fire Technology” is published in free and open access, i.e., each user can read, copy, print, spread, cite and search open resources, including full texts of articles, respecting the copyright of its authors. A user can take advantage of articles published in the Half-yearly in accordance with the CC-BY-SA 4.0 license, indicating on the copy of the material information about the source and authors.

Ghostwriting and guest autorship

With due regard to the need for integrity of information concerning authors and to avoid situations known as ghost-writing and guest authorship, the Editorial Board requires authors to disclose honest information about third parties who participate in the creation of submitted articles. Where ghost-writing or guest authorship is identified, the Editorial Board will inform the author’s Research Establishment, associations of which the author is a member, other Research Centres and Editorial Boards of different publications about the incident.
