Abstract

Introduction: This paper presents the results and the compliance assessment of computer simulation of the modeled fire with the usage of FDS program. The obtained results were compared with test results obtained under experimental conditions of fire in well-insulated apartment. The purpose of the tests, which was carried out in a residential building in Bytom, was to evaluate the influence of air tightness of a room on the development of fire. The tests allowed to make reliable and correct assumptions for fire scenario and they constituted the base for entering the input data for the model. The analysis of the simulations and the results of measurements in real scale showed the difference in the obtained values of pressure, temperature at points T1 and T3, however, consistent with the temperature at point T2 and oxygen concentration.
